Every inch of your property should look its best for the viewing. That extends to the exterior of your property as well as the interior. Ensure that the outside of your property is clean and in good condition. If you are located in a shared building, it may not always be possible to do anything about the exterior of the building, but you could request for cleaning to be carried out by your landlord if necessary.

Make Sure the Property is Spotless

At the very least, a property should be spotless for a viewing. Having a dirty property can be incredibly off-putting for a potential buyer, and in some cases, can be enough to get in the way of a purchase. To avoid any last minute stress, it is advisable to have a thorough clean in advance of the viewing date with another quick clean directly before.

Keep Things Neutral

As a general rule, neutralising your property can make a big impact on the way a buyer views it. Your property should be like a blank canvas, ready for a new owner to make it their own. Of course, the extent to which this impacts is reliant on who you are selling to – a private landlord or a business owner who will be moving their company in. Either way, it is safer to ensure your property is as neutral as possible, storing away personalised effects and items with your company logo.
